Meet Greg Finch

Greg Finch is the Founding Principal of gravitas llc, providing enterprise consulting services to select clients. He recently retired from public service as the Chief Engagement Officer at the Indiana Management Performance Hub (MPH), a data agency that supports other state agencies’ data initiatives.  During his time at MPH, Greg led the development of the state’s enterprise data governance program and the inter-agency KPI reporting initiative.

Before that, Greg’s career followed the steep trajectory of technological advancement in both public and private companies. His portfolio of knowledge has grown to include enterprise data management solutions for manufacturing, healthcare, agriculture and financial services. Key achievements include experience as the first Chief Information Security and HIPAA Compliance Officer for IU Health from 2004 to 2010, where his team was responsible for the data security, privacy and confidentiality in support of more than 1M unique annual patient encounters and 20,000 employees.

Since 2018, Greg, a lifelong learner, has been a member of the Purdue University faculty and is currently teaching entry-level entrepreneurship at the Purdue Indy campus and the senior capstone class in entrepreneurship and innovation at the West Lafayette campus.

Greg earned his B.S. in Agriculture Economics from Purdue University and his MBA from Butler University. He was a member of the inaugural class of the Lilly Endowment Indiana Agriculture Leadership Program and has been a board member of several foundations. Greg and his wife, Becky, reside in Carmel, Indiana.
